Summer Reading Program 2010
In years past EM has been a popular performer for some of the Virginia libraries, and this year looks to be no different. It's time to start planning our summer tour and we want to make sure the Virginia libraries have the first opportunities to book us.
This year the theme of the performances is "Something for Everyone", and we'll be playing some of the hits from our current CD as well as featuring songs and styles from some of our favorite artists. The idea is to show parents that they don't just have to listen to their kid's music, but that there is music in their library that they can share with their kids!
Along with our usual theme, we'll be working to integrate this years Reading Program theme into our set. We're starting to work on a song written specifically to promote reading in Virginia. Tentatively titled "Something's Fishy" the new song should tie in nicely with either the "Hook a Book" or "Make a Splash" themes and will be a free download available this spring!
Booking the band:
Discounts are available to libraries that schedule multiple performances at the same location, as well as at several locations within reasonable travel distance. We strongly encourage library systems to work together to coordinate performances in the same week. The less we travel, the less we can charge!
